The USS Iowa had two very special guests on Friday, July 10, 2009.  Van Harden and Bonnie Lucas, from WHO Radio's Van and Bonnie In the Morning Show, had a unique opportunity to tour the battleship and broadcast the entire four hour show from the location at Mare Island in Vallejo, California.  Van and Bonnie discussed the USS Iowa Preservation Fund and the Save the Iowa program.  Since then, almost daily discussion has raised the awareness of the project and the donations have been arriving steadily, via the website of through the Post Office Box.  The USS Iowa is extremely grateful for the partnership with Van and Bonnie.
