• Program launch - $4.2m 

• Pre-arrival preparation - $2.7m 

• Site restoration materials - $.9m 

• Environmental preparation - $.3m  

• Educational program development & implementation - $8.5m 

• Fire and life safety equipment - $1.7 

• Program equipment - $.7m  

• Pierside educational museum  - $.8m  

 

The Navy has determined that Historic Ships Memorial at Pacific Square, a non-profit public benefit corporation, is the only remaining viable applicant for further consideration for the donation of ex-Iowa (BB 61) as a museum and memorial at Mare Island, Vallejo, CA. 

 

 

 

 

Historic Ships Memorial at Pacific Square (USS IOWA Preservation Fund) is a 501(c)3 non-profit, public benefit corporation.  All donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
